My friends call me Nora. Here is how I exist outside of working hours:
Volunteering!
I've been volunteering since 2018, initially to practice English and overcome stuttering, but it's become one of my greatest passions.
I've worked with people aged 4 to 99 in various occassions. My best memories include:
- giving out animal stickers in parks and zoos (2022 - 2025, NYC)
- organizing the high school alumni reunion (Fall, 2022, NYC)
- taking summer camp kids to a special Disney trip (Summer, 2021, Shanghai)
My favorite is painting nails at UPMC! (Summer, 2025, Pittsburgh). I love choosing colors together with the patient, being present whether they want to chat or sit quietly, and seeing their faces light up when we are done.
These small moments of care and connection bring me a lot of joy while making a real difference in my communities.

I'm also a huge fan of stickers & washi tapes o(≧v≦)o
Journaling: I have been journaling for over 8 years. I am obsessed with weaving my observations and feelings into patterns through writing. It is my way to rebel against time and the absurdity of life.
Postcards: I also write for connections. I started PostCrossing in 2024 and have exchanged over 100 postcards worldwide so far.

Languages: I love how languages open up new worlds and connections for me. I'm a native Wu Chinese speaker, fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. I can speak basic Spanish. I am currently learning Greek.
